Bolt is delighted to introduce the new member of the two-wheeled Bolt family! Starting at the beginning of May 2022, the citizens of Coimbra will be able to travel from A to B on Bolt’s electric bicycles!
Characteristics of Bolt’s bicycles
Here is a list of all the technical details:
- The handlebar is ergonomic, and the bike has an adjustable seat that offers maximum comfort;
- Electric bicycles come with a basket in front to store your suitcase or your belongings (don’t forget to take them at the end of the trip!) ;
- The bicycle frame is entirely made of recyclable aluminum and comes with a replaceable battery – Bolt electric bikes are environmentally friendly;
- The maximum engine speed is 25 km/h;
- Bolt electric bicycles have an autonomy of up to 90 km with a single charge;
- Bicycles are disinfected regularly.
As we have already mentioned, all Bolt electric bicycles have a speed limit of 25 km/h. For your safety, we also recommend wearing a helmet.

How to rent an electric bicycle from Bolt

- Open the app and play on 2 Wheels;
- Reads safety tips carefully;
- When everything is ready, take stock and continue your journey!
P.S.: At the end of the trip, don’t forget to park in the bicycle-friendly areas without blocking passage zones!
