You may have decided to check out the Belem District in the western section of Lisbon. You could be trying to figure out what to do here and looking for something interesting. If you do not have the Museum of Art, Architecture, and Technology or MAAT on your list, you should visit this Museum.

The Museum of Art, Architecture, and Technology is the new cultural center for Lisbon.
Itโs a museum where these three areas intertwine within a space of debate, discovery, critical thinking, and international dialogue. Itโs an innovative project which establishes a connection between the new building, designed by Amanda Levete Architectsโ studio, and Central Tejo Power Station, one of Portugalโs most prominent examples of industrial architecture from the first half of the 20th century, and one of the most visited museums in the country.
MAATโs ambition is to present national and international exhibitions by contemporary artists, architects, and thinkers. The program will also include curatorial perspectives on EDP Foundationโs private Art Collection, reflecting current subject matters and trends.
How to Get to the MAAT?

Take the Cascais train from Cais do Sodrรฉ Station, which departs every 20 minutes. It reaches Belรฉm in seven minutes, and the MAAT is just steps from the station. Bus 714 and tram 15 depart from Praรงa da Figueira and go to Belรฉm, but they are always crowded and much slower than the train.ย
If youโre already in Belรฉm, take the footbridge from the Coach Museum. The MAAT also has its own footbridge, found down the street — on Rua da Junqueira, turn to Largo do Marquรชs de Angeja.
You can catch a free ride on the train, buses, and trams with the Lisboa Card.
